Baratillo sa San Antonio Part IV February 2 - 3, 2002
7.00 am - 7.00 pm
Sanctuario de San Antonio Parish
Last weekend we held our fourth "Baratillo sa San Antonio" - a two-day event.
Heavy competition due to the "Thrift Shop" beside us, which had a lot of women's
clothes, shoes and accessories, made selling a tough endeavor. This was further
compounded by the Pre-Valentine's bazaar that was held on Sunday, effectively
making the venue a marketplace! Still, due to the efforts of some energetic
members, we managed to raise some much needed funds.
We would like to thank all those who manned the sale and facilitated the
marketing and organization: Arra Manuel-our project head, Shasha Sy-who
incidentally provided us with a truck and eased our transportation burden, Ray &
Mike Alimurung, Badjik Mina, Tintin & Chonette Montinola, Super Perez, Quintin
Pastrana, Jay Estoya, Jackie Montelibano, Ingrid, Denis, and Jan, Mike Julian.
Many thanks too to the other members and friends who helped gather stuff for the
sale: Anne Castro, Criselle Panlilio, Pilar Estrada, Jo Tiongson, Alnie
Daluyaya, Ms. Ledesma, David Ledesma, and many more whom we have acknowledged in
our rummage sale donor section.
Interesting items on sale included a massage board, ski gloves, a trash can, an
FEN converter, and window blinds! These and many more items were sold, proving
once again that our collective efforts can move mountains.
