Team BSF: The Recruitment Party

A few months after the Foundation's goal of expanding its membership was set, Team BSF: The Recruitment Party was held at the Bautista Residence in Dasmariñas Village. On the eve of April 26, names were finally matched to faces as old, new and possible members gathered to learn more about the Foundation.

The evening began at around 5:00 pm when the Officers gathered ahead of time to help the HR Committee make the final arrangements. As 6:00 approached, attendees started to trickle in. Upon arrival they signed up at the registration table voluntarily manned by the Marketing Committee heads, Margo Flores and Anne Castro. As a line started to form, registrants were able to view the trailer of the Bukas Sarili Presentation and be inspired by BSF's collection of favorite quotes posted along the walls.

As the crowd gathered, a game of Human Bingo was played. This gave everyone a chance to break the ice and make new friends. Dinner followed with each table alive with laughter and conversation. It was a real treat to see everyone enjoying the evening.

The essence of the party, however, was the Bukas Sarili Presentation, a slide show that discussed the Foundation's mission, vision and endeavors. Our president, Ray Alimurung gave an introduction on the Foundation while Medical Program Committee head Dr. Jay Estoya talked about our beneficiaries-the patients of PGH's Internal Medicine Ward-and our medical program. This was followed by the recruitment and membership talk given by HR Committee head Criselle Panlilio. A member from each committee then explained their committee's participation in the Foundation. The Presentation was short and concise but both old and new members agreed that it gave a clear and inviting picture of the Foundation.

As the evening came to an end, people lingered on chatting with their newfound friends. Team BSF: The Recruitment Party proved to be a successful mix of friends, fun and purpose.
